Musician, Percussionist and Drummer, Flavio studied at the 'Escola Municipal de Música'; the 'Conservatório Dramático Musical de São Paulo'; and 'Escola Paulista do Museu do Folclore'. He was the owner of a recording studio and a Jazz and Blues club and was the founder of the first school of drumming and percussion in Brazil , called 'Drum' where more than one thousand people attended.

As a cultural producer he organized three Brazilian Drumming Conferences, which had major national and international repercussion. He has played with well-known artists and orchestras he has produced jazz and Brazilian Popular Music concerts. Flavio has also run various Brazilian Percussion Clinics in Universities in Brazil and in other countries.

Since founding Meninos do Morumbi Flavio devotes his time exclusively to working with adolescents and children. Flavio is the President and Director of Meninos do Morumbi. His work with the band includes: composing, conducting, teaching, coordinating the concerts and rehearsals as well as overseeing the day by day running of the Association.
